Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of contributing an article to the SEO Blog over at SEMrush.com, titled 4 Ways to Spot an SEO Scam. It’s a topic that I feel very strongly about, because too many times I’ve had clients, colleagues, and friends fall prey to horrible digital marketing scams – and these scams look good on the surface. They try to trick you with exaggerated promises and empty guarantees – and who doesn’t want to sign up for a free marketing service that will land you a top spot in Google search? That’s the hook that grabs so many people, and the results of these scams can be devastating, ranging from losing leads to crippling your site.
So, in the spirit of helping and educating the other business owners (and digital marketing professionals), I came up with a short list of the most common red flags you need to look out for when someone pitches you an SEO or digital marketing service, check it out over on the SEMrush blog.
And if you would like to learn more about how to avoid an SEO scam, or just about digital marketing in general, feel free to contact us! I’d love to see how my team and I could help you and your business.
